Womanhood

I am now a woman. It’s official. Not because I got my first period, got that long ago (apparently that rather embarrassing celebration with mom and grandma was premature). And not because I lost my virginity (that rather enjoyable celebration with Jason was apparently also premature). No I am now a woman because I finally [...]

Hmm

Wonder if the people that found my blog by searching “how many drinks does roger federer have” (came to site twice) and “brazen hussy” got what they were looking for. Somehow I think brazen hussy searcher may have been a bit dissappointed. As to how many drinks Roger Federer has? I’m going to with 12 [...]

Still strung tight

I can’t say that I am any less wound up than I have been since I got my date for going back to Singapore. I can say that I’ve at least figured out how to channel the stress into amazing levels of productivity.
Even with spending 3+ hours at the beach yesterday and getting a manicure [...]

Drumming

So there are some benefits to being wound tighter than a drum. Other than the amount of time I’ve spent pondering the phrase, ‘wound tighter than a drum’. It is 11:45 on Sunday morning, I woke at 8:30, but managed to stay in bed until after 10:00 or so. Thank you Sports Night DVD’s and [...]

Important thing(s) I just learned

Banana Boat Sport, sunscreen spray does not sting when sprayed directly in the eye. Or at least not my left eye. Made my left contact a bit blurry at first, but no stinging.
At least my left eye is now safe as I head down to the beach.
Oh and I’ve learned my weather widget completely sux. [...]

Stuck

I’m stuck. I have no fucking clue what to do, and I don’t like the feeling one bit.
I’ve known all along that coming to work in Australia was only temporary. But something happened along the way. I found me again. I am absolutely terrified that by moving back to Singapore I’ll lose me again. [...]

The inevitable

Today was the discussion that I’ve been dreading. The one about my move back to Singapore. I’ve been drinking for many hours in order to not think about it. Many hours, many drinks. Much fun with friends.
But the truth of the matter is, my time in Australia is coming to an end. I do have [...]

Remembering Aunt Ruth

This weekend would have been Aunt Ruth’s 87 birthday. She passed away last Monday. She had been ill for a while and many of her major organs were starting to fail. Her passing was a blessing in that she is no longer suffering. She was able to see all 6 of her grandchildren and be [...]

Tennis

I am back in Sydney. Back at work. Trying to get back to a normal schedule. Don’t know what a normal schedule really is, or why I might want one, but hell, it sounds good on paper.
As some of you know, I have a deep love for tennis. I haven’t a clue as to why. [...]

Stolen from Ferrari

A friend had this great ‘get to know you’ quiz on his blog. The twist is I get to know you. So if you’re brave enough, have fun.
1. Can you cook?
2. What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator?
3. What talent do you wish you had?
4. Favorite place?
5. Favorite vegetable?
6. What was [...]
